What an eventful chinese new year.
Firstly, there was an annular solar eclipse today between 4.30PM and 6, but with no proper equipment I didn't observe it at all. =(
We went to my grandma's house really late this year. We got there at about 4, thinking all of them must be gone already, sigh but I guess everyone was thinking along the same line. It was really crowded when we got there. Shit. I've always dreaded this day of the year. It's just so cramped in there and awkward and uncomfortable cos I dun know any of them. It's the same thing every year, my mom, my sis and me will gather at one corner and watch those stupid shows that they play on new year (why can't hey play something nicer?), and usually some dumb-ass will switch channel without asking if I mind. They will then talk about how tall I've grown (in the past; I've stopped growing now), ask me to take good care of my sister, blah blah blah... Then after much agony we could finally leave. Sianzzz
The original plan was to go home, but my sis wanted to visit ping's house, so we very last minute headed there. Like really last minute, decided when the train was between Bukit Batok and Bukit Gombak. Aiyah, actually new year's all the same. Watching TV, if you don't play mahjong.
I'm really excited about this, cos you know I've been wanting to download Hana Yori Dango for quite some time, but the only way to do this is by torrent, and you know it's really slow and it's illegal. So... anyway it turns out that ping has the DVD!!! OMG!!! Not sure if it works, I could watch the last episode of season 2, but disc one keeps hanging... Hopefully it will work. Cos I really don't want to d/l and I can't find the DVD in stores...
Oh yah, and something very extraordinary happened while we were going home. We were standing outside the lift on the ground fllor, when my mom realised... that she didn't bring the keys. Can you believe it? It was like 12AM... Sianz... Literally locked out of the house. So we had to walk back to the mrt station and stayed in the 24-hour food court. We waited till 1.45AM, and walked home cos dad's coming home soon. It was a terrifying experience.
It's hard to believe how many youngsters were in MacDonald's after midnight. And this late, there were a lot of foreign workers, and smokers. Kinda scary when we were walking back. It was totally deserted, and this chilly wind was blowing... *shudders*
What a cny. And I'm sooo lagging in my homework!!! What to do?!?!
