First Skating Experience (!!!)

Today (sigh comp so lag, become Wednesday le. Ok, this article is written as if it were Tuesday k?) is Labor Day, so we had an outing: me, Bao Yun, Woon Ling, Xiao Wei, Ye Wee (who didn't stay for ice-skating since he's not feeling well), Yu Siang and Seow Tian.

Sigh, Xiao Wei didn't get into Medicine in NUS, so she's leaving for Michigan. *Sob sob*

I'd never thought any of my friends will leave me. As in, being physically so far apart. I really admire her for her courage and perseverance to pursue her dream. Jiayou, Xiao Wei!! (haha like jiayou Jin Shun)

Anyway, we went for ice-skating today. It was very crowded, probably because it's a public holiday. I totally couldn't balance myself. How could I? The shoe (or whatever you call it) has only one thin slice of metal in contact with the ice. It was very slippery, my legs kept splitting apart, I longed for home :( , and I fell once, butt hitting the ground. Luckily it didn't hurt AND 不幸中的大幸 I didn't sprain my ankle.

So throughout the entire 2 hours (which cost $12 and of which a lot was wasted getting into those stupid shoes that totally cut off the blood supply to my feet and waiting for the crew to fix the ice) I just gripped the railing tightly and moved one step at a time. Very often there would be people blocking my way so I'd try to waddle past them, flailing my arms around like a duck (I'd felt very ugly) and screaming a lot ( no voice now). I'd used a lot of arm power, so my arms hurt now.

I went one round without holding onto the railing supported by Xiao Wei and Yu Siang. Haha, actually they were just dragging me along. Many a times I lost my balance and dragged them down. Luckily they were stable enough and tugged me back. If not 我害他们跌倒就真的太对不起他们了。

Should I write this down? Hmm.. Now that I know that some people know about my blog I need to reconsider writing stuff down. Alamak.

Bao Yun and I saw Woon Ling and Seow Tian skating together. Though they weren't holding hands or anything, they looked so happy and compatible together. =)

No special meanings intended, I just 有感而发。 Though I totally sucked at skating, but... holding a guy's hand and walking ( or skating) and him supporting you when you're about to fall...is just so sweet. *Romantic nez!*

Really 没有意思的。 Don't read too much into it.

Which reminds me...on my way to JEC I saw 1) Cheng Wee (my pri sch schmate) with her girlfriend and 2) Yi Chao (my 1st 3 months senior class schmate) with ...wanna guess? His girlfriend. Sigh. Signs everywhere that remind me of the painful fact that I'm still single. *Cry* When will I ever find my true love?
