Last December, I removed my first set of wisdom teeth and placed my name on the waiting list for braces at the National Dental Centre. I knew it was going to be expensive, but thought I would have found a job by the time it was my turn (I was told it would take about a year plus).

Well, I got a call from them and am going to see the dentist (or orthodontist-trainee) tomorrow. Still undecided on whether I should just go to a private clinic... (p_q)

  1. Orthodonist trainee???!!!

I think the first week of braces on and every monthly tightening of braces can be very uncomfortable and painful. The level of pain should be the same for any clinic, but the empathy of the orthodontist is very important.

  2. Hey Fen! Yah the orthodontist is pretty young and seems really nice! :) She said my condition is not very bad though, and my mom is trying to get me not to do it, even thought i've done the x-rays...

  3. I see... But if you really want to do it, you should do it! Especially when we are still young and can take the "discomfort" and pain better. Ultimately it is still your decision =)
