went for the yrp interview on wednesday. it's a kind of attachment programme. I knew I'd screwed up the interview cos my mind was kind of blank and I fumbled with my answers. Anyway I walked out of the room just wanting to roar and scream. Gross. Received the rejection email the following day.

I don't feel disappointed, not too much anyway, cos I'm not really interested in research. I just hate interviews. Gawd...

I'm rotting once again at home, just like I'd done last year. I'm not complaining...

By the way Javan mynas have been attempting to enter my house via the kitchen windows. My mother has resorted to covering the windows with a piece of cloth. I had found it mildly amusing until just now, when I went to the kitchen to get a drink and I was talking to my mom when I saw this myna perching on the window sill. OMG! I let out a very shrill scream that scared my mother and the bird away.

Well, I've learnt from my Natural Heritage class that mynas (and crows, and long-tailed macaques for that matter, those found at BTNR) are very smart creatures, and I guess they have associated my kitchen with food, cos we always leave leftover food in a bin uncovered. The thing is I live on the 15th storey, and the kitchen window is really small, only 2 panels long. I wonder how they found the place... and more importantly how to get rid of them.

By the way do you know it is legal to kill mynas? And crows and pigeons? (haha I bet people are thinking about how cruel I am. But these animals are aliens AND pests.)
